Overview

Modern Montessori International is an organisation that was established with the purpose of maintaining Montessori tradition by promoting the most up-to-date and comprehensive child care courses. MMI’s top priority is to make Montessori Information, resources and training more accessible to parents and teachers around the world.

We offer the following courses:

 

Early Years Educator & Montessori Diploma

In partnership with Skills First (a government approved awarding body), we offer the Early Years Educator and Montessori Diploma, a course in line with the nationally set criteria for the Early Years Educators.

 

The dual qualification meets the relevant criteria for those wishing to work with young children. The Early Years Educator qualification confers a licence to practice for all newly qualified practitioners in England.

 

International Diploma

This course aims to develop in students a high level of competence when teaching the Montessori Method of Education to children from 2 ½ to 6 years. With the added element of Teaching practice ensuring you have a firm knowledge of working within the Montessori Environment.

 

This course has three aspects:

  1. Montessori philosophy (on line study)
  2. Montessori apparatus (workshop)
  3. Teaching placement under the guidance of a Montessori teacher

 

Diploma

This course aims to develop in students a high level of competence when teaching the Montessori Method of Education to children from 2 ½ to 6 years. This course has two elements 1. Montessori philosophy (online study)   Montessori apparatus (workshop).

Certificate

This course is to assist in the understanding of Dr. Montessori’s practical research on the education of young children.  This course is ideal for those who wish to have a basic knowledge of Montessori philosophy as it gives an introduction to the Montessori theory and her teaching apparatus.

 

Montessori Certificate in Infant & Toddler Care

This course will equip those who wish to work with very young children between 2 months and 24 months with the Montessori knowledge and skills for effective care and management of babies and toddlers.

 

Certificate in Assistant Montessori Teacher Training

 This course is suitable for learners who wish to take up a role as an assistant teacher in teaching young children

 

Primary Montessori Diploma

This course gives you an outline of Montessori philosophy and methodology on working with children aged 6-9 years.   Must have completed Montessori Diploma before undertaking this course.
