The Modern Montessori International Group (MMI) was set up in 1989 to introduce the Montessori Method of Education to Singapore .
Today, MMI has grown to encompass 25 pre-school centres in Singapore and a full-fledged pre-school teacher-training school in the Corporate HQ occupying the entire 8000 square feet of the 24th storey of Orchard Towers.

MMI has developed a full curriculum for the Certificate in Pre-school Teaching (CPT), Diploma in Pre-School Education – Teaching (DPE-T) and Diploma in Pre-School Education – Leadership (DPE-L).
All the courses are accredited by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Ministry of Community Development Youth and Sports (MCYS) and are eligible for Skill Development Fund (SDF) and Skill Re-development Programme (SRP) funding.
MMI also donates a considerable share of its corporate income to charity - especially to education trust fund for needy children. |

MMI India – The MMI Group and the Jaipuria Group have ventured into a Montessori pre-school centre in India .
The Jaipuria Group headed by Chairman Ravi Jaipuria, holds the sole franchise for Pepsi Cola and Pizza Hut Restaurants in North India and Nepal. |
| MMI India has its own four-storey facility in Gurgaon, Delhi, with a capacity to house 500 children. It also conducts courses leading to the Diploma in Montessori Method of Education. |

Horizon Resort Group has been successfully managing boutique hotels across Phuket.

MMI Malaysia – MMI Training Centre Malaysia Sdn Bhd., a wholly subsidiary of MMI, was set up in 2001 as the first step in the expansion plan.
Located in Subang Jaya, MMI Malaysia is set to make inroads into the Malaysian pre-school education industry.

MMI Sri Lanka – MMI, in collaboration with one of Sri Lanka 's oldest and largest business conglomerates, the Ceylinco Group, has ventured into Sri Lanka to build a strong foundation for its Montessori Programme.

The Ceylinco Group is in diverse businesses and has more than 100 subsidiary companies, with over 350 offices. Its core business sectors are banking, insurance, housing, travel, education and healthcare.
With this collaboration, MMI Singapore and Ceylinco will provide quality Montessori early childhood programmes and teacher-training courses in Sri Lanka .
MMI Sri Lanka will launch both the Montessori pre-school programme and the Diploma in Montessori Method of Education for adults aspiring to be teachers of this unique method.

MMI Australia and New Zealand – MMI, AtoZed International Group and Bhavan's Indian International School are joint partners and will venture to set up both pre-school centres and teachers training programmes in Australia and New Zealand.
AtoZed International Pty Ltd and its group of international companies are 100% Australian owned. It specialises in education, migration, accounting, tax, recruitment, legal and travel services. It has served the Australian market since 1989.
It has two major trading operations - one through the Australian School of Business and Technology and the other through the New Zealand School of Business and Technology.
